Course Overview
This course will give you all the skills you need to jump-start your Power BI journey. It discusses in depth the industry-recognised steps from raw data to detailed analysis via five main stages:
• Loading data into Power BI from a wide range of data sources, such as CSV and XLS files
• Transforming data using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), M, and Power Query languages
• Creating and extending a comprehensive data model with DAX
• Visualizing data in Power BI desktop using built-in tools
• Sharing and collaborating with the Power BI service or Power BI server

Course objectives
In this course, you will:
- Create interactive visualizations to deliver business insights.
- Extract business intelligence by using DAX, M, and Power Query.
- Share Datasets, Reports, and Dashboards in the Power BI Service.
- Pre-format and import data from an Excel Report using Power Query and M.
- Add value with measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables using DAX.
- Import data from relational databases and integrate it with other data sources.
- Profile, shape, and filter tables to prepare for analyses by fixing data issues.
- Integrate data from CSV files and Excel Workbooks.
- Explore and extend a Power BI data model.
